All residents 16+ are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Washoe County. All Florida residents age sixteen+ are eligible to receive any COVID-19 vaccine as prescribed by the Food and Drug Administration.
The Wayne County Health Department Environmental Health Unit prevents and controls the spread of communicable diseases and minimize security and health hazards. Due to Covid-19 security protocols, Birth and Death Certificates might be issued by appointment only. Immunization clinics are every Tuesday by appointment solely. WIC walk-in clinics are cancelled on Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. The Washoe County Health District is nationally accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board and has jurisdiction over all public well being issues in Reno, Sparks, and Washoe County by way of the coverage-making Washoe County District Board of Health.
